The Correíllo La Palma is a ship built in 1912, which for decades
sailed between the islands' ports carrying passengers and post. It
was also used to transport Spanish troops between Africa, the mainland
and the islands, as well as providing assistance in a large number
of accidents, saving the lives of many shipwrecked sailors until it
