Legal Requirments for Weddings & Blessings on Lanzarote

Catholic Church weddings:

Either the bride or the groom must be catholic, and neither one must be divorced.

Paperwork Required:

• Civil letter of Freedom
• Certificate of  Pre Marriage Guidance Course
• Pre-nuptual enquiry form
• Birth Certificates (original Long)
• Original marriage and death certificate (if widowed)
• 2 photocopies of passports (one for the Wedding planner)
• 2 photocopies of each Birth Certificate (one of each for the Wedding planner)

Church of England:

Here in Lanzarote we have our own resident vicar who carries out the Church of England blessings for wedding and the Renewal of Vows in one our stunning locations. Let your imagination run away with you about where you envisage having your wedding, blessing or the Renewal of Vows ceremony.

Paradise Found Villa in Los Mojones

Paradise Found is a gorgeous villa situated in the tranquil up market Los Mojones area of Puerto Del Carmen. It makes a lovely private venue for exclusive blessing ceremonies either in the lovely garden or inside the villa. La Finca de las Salinas – the perfect setting for that special celebration or wedding venue.This splendid rural hotel abounds in charm, creativity and originality and is a wonderfully romantic choice for a wedding reception or ceremony. Lag O Mar, Nazaret

Previously owned by Omar Sharif only to be lost in a card game, this restaurant and museum is built into the cliff face which makes for an unusual and interesting setting for your special day. With its stunning views and secret tunnels Lag O Mar is the perfect backdrop for those unique wedding photos.

Lag O Mar is approximately 30 minutes drive from Playa Blanca and 25 minutes from Puerto Del Carmen.
