Las Palmas

Offers a relatively wide cultural variety of theater, cinema, opera, concerts, visual arts and dance performances. The city hosts the Canary Islands Music Festival, the Theater and Dance and the International Film Festival. The main City Festival is held in June. The Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria  is also known not only in Spain but also worldwide, and is one of the main attractions for tourists.

Mogan

The main industries of Mogan are tourism, agriculture and fishing. The tourism industry is located mainly along the coast, which has a string of resorts. Mogàn is part of a larger tourist area in the southern part of the island.

Maspalomas

Famous for tourism, its hotels, beaches, dunes, apartments, and other facilities including restaurants, bars, taverns, shopping centres, souvenirs, and businesses.

Playa del Inglés

A town in the south coast of the island and is part of the municipality of San Bartolome de Tirjana. It has a nice long beach made of tall sand dunes and is connected with other beach towns including San Agustín and Maspalomas in the touristic centre of the island.  

San Bartolomé de Tirajana 

Part of the tourist area of the southern part of the island and the main industries there are business, agriculture and tourism.

Puerto Rico

A specially constructed holiday resort situated on the south-west coast of the island. Its proximity to the African continent ensures an ideal climate, particularly in the winter, when the temperatures remain constant at around 20-25°C.
