The sea front at Puerto del Carmen stretching
from the Hotel Fariones to the Hotel San
Antonio
is locally know as “The Strip” and is

On the hill going up towards the Biosfera Plaza
at the Farionnes Hotel end of town is the Bookswop

and at the other end of the town in CC Costa Luz
you can find the Bookswop 2.
These shops are very popular with both the expat
community here and the tourists who come
along and forget their essential poolside reading.
The thousands of books available both on line and
through the shops are reasonably priced and sold
on a returns basis whereby you may select
a further book at a discounted price
or take a credit against future purchases.
The Bookswop’s do not only sell books,
you may also purchase stationary, greetings cards,
gift items, party goods etc and even British stamps.
(A lot of ex pats send their post back with f
riends so it is useful to have a British stamp
already on the card).
Bookswop 3 is now open in Playa Blanca.
