Fuerteventura

One of the seven Canary Islands belonging to Spain and an ideal place to holiday or live. The Easternmost Island of the Canaries

The island of Fuerteventura is the second largest in the Canary Islands archipelago. Fuerteventura comprises six municipalities, the capital, Puerto Del Rosario. La Oliva, Betancuria, Antigua, Tuineje and Pajara. Lobos Isle, with an area of 5 sq. km, belongs to La Oliva.  Famous for its glorious beaches where mile upon mile of sand dunes await your footprints! Craft workshops, museums, bodegas are well worth visiting and local festivities are places in which to discover traditional music and dances.

The low flight time from Ireland or the UK and the reasonable cost make it a popular holiday destination and although Tourism is the main industry the island remains a safe and unspoilt destination for either winter or summer sunshine.

The average temperatures fall between 20º – 27º and they average thirty days of sunshine out of thirty one!
There are plenty of holiday activities which we have listed in detail within this website, (see Attractions & Culture sections) The Island has vast culinary and visual delights on offer and if you really love it and would like to live in a place where the sun nearly always shines and the winters are clement what better place. (See our Property section). Imagine no heating bills, low electricity and water bills and an outdoor healthy lifestyle. Welcome to our world!
