Lanzarote Districts

The island of Lanzarote is divided into seven regions or districts called Municipalities.
These Municipalities are called respectively, Arrecife which is the capital of Lanzarote, Haría, San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tías, Tinajo and Yaiza.
They all have their main towns named after their Municipality.
Each Municipality has its own Town Hall which in turn has its own Mayor and Council. These governing bodies each elect a member who forms part of the Government in Spain.

The seven municipalities of Lanzarote are highlighted within our island map.
For information about these districts please click on the different colored areas.
